Model your home: A 3-session Design Workshop

A hands-on workshop where homeowners build a scale model of their home to understand space, test ideas, and plan renovations with confidence

Updated-banner-Blue.jpg

This hands-on workshop guides you through creating a physical scale model of your own home at 1:100 or 1:50, and teaches you how to use that model as a practical design tool.

Whether you’re planning a renovation or just want clarity, this process helps you understand space, proportion and possibilities in a way drawings alone can’t.

How the Workshop Works
Session 1 – Capture Your Home (Photogrammetry Basics)
Learn a simple, accessible method to digitally capture your home using photogrammetry.
You’ll submit your files after the session and before session 2.

Duration: 90 mins

Light refreshments and food provided

Between sessions:
Your model will be cleaned up, scaled accurately, and converted into printed floor plans and elevations, ready for model making.

*****

Session 2 – Build Your House (Model Making)
Using your printed drawings, you’ll cut, assemble and glue your house into a physical model — step by step, with guidance.

No prior model-making experience required.

Duration: 120 mins

Light refreshments and food provided

You'll have a take home model making kit to completed your model at home, if you need more time.

*****

Session 3 – Design With Your Model
